You deserve it!
Self-love is so important and is something I feel very strongly about; I honestly think everything starts with self-love and if you are new to taking some time to focus on yourself it can sometimes make us feel selfish or even make us feel guilty for doing something just for ourselves, but it shouldn’t! WE ALL deserve some time to focus on our self and recharge our body, mind and spirit.
Self-love doesn’t mean everything is all about me, me, me. It’s not a vain thing at all! it’s about appreciating yourself, accepting who you are and taking responsibility for your own well-being and happiness and take some time to focus on yourself, improve on the areas that don’t make you feel great instead of being negative about it.
Throughout my journey I’ve learned so much about myself, I’ve learn to love myself by changing my lifestyle and surrounding myself with be-you-tiful, positive and inspiring people. This hasn’t just been a weight loss journey for me. I was stuck in a miserable place and I knew I was the only one that could get me out of it. I started looking after my body like it was my best friend by nurturing it with healthy foods, exercising, rest and taking time out for me. Give your body what it deserves, appreciate it, because you wouldn’t be here without it, so why wouldn’t we cherish it?
Self- love is allowing yourself to make mistakes without punishing yourself but to grow and learn from our mistakes and move forward.
Appreciate who you are, we are all different. We all have different goals, struggles, achievements, talents and thank god for that! because this life would be a very boring place if we were all the same.
Try to find the good in every situation and don’t let it derail you.
My favourite tips to recharge and appreciate
Do something YOU love!
Nourish your body with exercise and good nutrition
Surround yourself with positive people that inspire you to be your best self and who let you be YOU!
Light a delicious candle and run a hot bath with some bath salts or bath bombs. (My favourite after a good workout)
Keep a happy book and write down all your happy memories.
Turn the music up and dance around
Listen to some meditation.
Go for a long walk at your favourite walking track
Create a goal/vision board for yourself.
Get your eye brows tinted or your hair done
Whatever it is that makes you feel good!
