5 WAYS TO BOOST YOUR WATER INTAKE

Are you struggling to meet your daily water intake? Here are 5 tips to help you consume more water.

SET A GOAL

When it comes to setting goals it is always important to be specific. Don’t just set a goal to “drink more water” Be more specific like I want to drink at least 1.5 Liters or 2 Liters per day by the end on the month. By being specific about the goals you want to achieve you have a target in mind and know, if we didn’t have a target we wouldn’t be able to track and measure our progress.

CHANGE IT UP

If you aren’t a big fan of drinking plain water try adding some fruit to some Sparkling mineral water Or some green tea. Proper hydration is so important to your health and welbeing.
Some nice combinations are lemon, lemon and honey or mint, cucumber and Lime. Adding some flavour helps with the lack of taste people seem to struggle with when drinking water.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT DRINK BOTTLE

Find a drink bottle with measuring guide on the side to keep track I use and recommend The Big Bottle Co drink bottles, they are designed to meet your hydration needs and hold 2.2L of water which is a great goal to hit each day. They come in all different colour and simply look STUNNING!

SET YOUR ALARM

Set yourself a reminder alarm and drink a cup or water every hour. Also upon waking in the morning drinking a glass of water before you start your day and eating, this helps to kick start your metabolism and get your body functioning ready for all the food you will eat and the energy you will burn throughout the day. We all get busy throughout our days so keeping ourselves reminded is a great way to stay on track with our water intake. After a while it will become routine.

CHALLENGE A FRIEND

Including a friend is always more motivating, set a healthy goal between you both and refresh your body! Having someone keeping you accountable is a great way to achieve any goal. You are having a friendly competition, encouraging each other and keeping each other in check and on track to a better healthier you.
