The best way to start your day and this is exactly how I start my day every morning. Before I do anything else I like to start my day with a glass of warm lemon water.
You’ve probably heard that drinking lemon water has many health benefits but what are they?
How to make lemon water
Every morning, before you do anything else, Make a cup that holds about 500mls of warm water and squeeze a slice of lemon into the water and drop the lemon peel into the water as well because the peel holds all the nutrients. You could use a couple drops of lemon essential oil if you don’t have any fresh lemons.
One of the most important benefits of drinking warm lemon water is it cleanses and flushes out unwanted toxins from your liver.
Hydration – Considering we haven’t had anything to drink for at least 8 hours it a great idea to hydrate our body. Lemon water is full of electrolytes which provide calcium, potassium and magnesium.
Weight loss – Some of us are constantly looking for weight loss quick fixes but i’m sorry this wont be it. Although lemons can help with boosting the metabolism which can aid to weight loss, you ll still have to put in the work.
Digestion – Lemon juice tricks the liver into producing bile which is a product that helps keep food moving along through your body.
Skin hydration – There’s no surprise that water hydrates the skin but lemons hold vitamin C that also cleanse the skin and allows your skin to glow.
Alkalies the body – Drinking lemon water before you eat a meal can help raise your PH level this helps by supporting your body’s natural immune response. Lemons can also help your body fight off diseases because lemons creates an alkalising effect in the body.
